holiday

The holiday season is fast approaching. Once again, parties, people, and pampering are on the horizon. Whether you’re getting ready for Christmas or preparing for prom, you want your hair to look good — and maybe even fancy!

Having alopecia doesn’t mean you can’t don a glamorous holiday hairstyle. You can always experiment with hairpieces or extensions before styling your locks to perfection. So — without further ado — here are seven hot hairdos for the holiday season that anyone can enjoy:

1. French Twist Updo

Add a touch of glamour to your tresses with the French Twist Updo. This simple yet elegant style starts by creating a low ponytail. Then twist your hair gently upwards and secure it to the top of your head with a barrette or clips. Use hairspray to keep it in place.

2. Layered Cut

The layered look creates the illusion of fuller hair, especially if you have layers around your face. Tell your stylist what you want to achieve with this cut. Better still, show them a photo so they can see exactly what you want to emulate.

3. Twisted Bun

A combination of traditional and modern wrap together to form the stylish twisted bun. To achieve this simple style, add some waves to a few loose strands you will use to frame your face. Next, scoop your hair into a high ponytail and apply styling cream to the ends. Twist the hair around the top of your ponytail, and fix it in place with pins or clips.

4. Hair Gems

If you like glitz, apply shiny hair gems to your hairdo. These work particularly well with buns and braided ponytails but will lend charm to other styles, too.

5. High Ponytail

The high ponytail is the epitome of sophistication when done right. To create this look, use a paddle brush while blow-drying your hair into place. Finish it off by straightening the end of your ponytail.

6. Half Up — Half Down

There’s something whimsical about wearing half your hair up while allowing the other half to flow freely. The untidy tresses add a playful element to the overall appearance, which means less styling hassle for you. Just gather the top half of your hair into a ponytail, and let the rest hang down!

7. Face-Framing Updo

This chic hairstyle works well with short and long hair. Let two loose stands of hair sit on either side of your face, and tie up the rest to create this signature statement.
