men's

What’s hot in men’s hair this spring? 2023 is the year of the comeback for many men’s hairstyles, and there are some massively contrasting trends, as you’ll see below! While the past couple of years have seen retro styles like the mullet and the undercut trending, this year is more about classic, timeless looks with just a little inspiration from the past.

Center Partings

The center part looks like it’s coming back in a big way in 2023. It’s the perfect partner for hairstyles that are flawlessly straight and tamed. There are definitely no beach-tousled locks here! Men who want to embrace the center parting should invest in an excellent wax or gel and a fine-toothed comb to ensure each strand falls exactly as required. Hairspray can also help a lot with these types of styles.

The Slamback

Think Teddy Boys from the 1950s but less “quiff” and more “swish.” Spring will see men with a bit of longer hair on top scraping it back and flaunting their product use proudly. This style needs pomade or another gel-like holding product to combine excellent form with a slick look that comes straight from the rock and roll era.

The Tight Fade

Looks that stand out are coming back, and that includes the tight or high fade. Shaved or closely clipped sides contrast beautifully with longer hair on top. It doesn’t have to be much longer, either! Keep it short all over for ease of maintenance—you just need a professional pair of clippers or regular barber’s trips to keep those sides neat and looking clean.

The Messy Crop

While shorter hair is definitely a hit this season—check out all the buzz cuts at Paris Men’s Fashion week 2023—there’s no need to keep it neat and regimental. Crops with a longer tousled top (artfully, of course!) are an easy way to combine low-maintenance hair with high fashion. Keeping your hair longer on top and styling it forward can be a simple way to conceal a receding hairline, too, if hair loss is a concern.

If you suffer from hair loss, you can feel disconnected from fashion and the ability to join in on the latest hairstyles. However, with current hair restoration techniques, you could regain your confidence and be able to show off your hair and personal style again.
